Step into the mesmerizing cosmos of Threefold Bold, an intergalactic journey birthed from the creative collaboration of visionaries who dared to break boundaries and redefine the artistic landscape. Initiated by a desire to forge a vessel for their creative outputs, this collective, comprised of Fwltur, Rogue Tactics, and Taste32, takes you on a voyage where art knows no bounds. From challenging fast fashion to exploring NFTs, they’ve harnessed their diverse talents and enigmatic energy to create a new paradigm in art and creativity. In this article, we unravel the core of Threefold Bold, its remarkable crew, and their unwavering commitment to pioneering ethical, meritocratic systems in the world of art.
- Who’s initiative was it to start Three Bold? How did it come into existence?
Threefold Bold grew from the desire to establish a vessel or vehicle for our creative outputs. Myself and Fwltur had been creating in collaboration and around each other for quite some time. Drawing inspiration from each other as well as the struggles we were navigating. We needed to forge a direction that would provide a sustainable engine to push our work forward and give us a reason to create.
It was following that brief phonecall and invitation to come and play that Threefold Bold was born. In its first iteration, we put fast fashion in the crosshairs and built an organic clothing output, pushing the boat out on branding and design while highlighting the importance of transparency, quality and circular economies. This was back in around 2015. The first packages still bear weight today as an art-forward, high quality offering. Something we are proud to point to as our first flagstone.
Fast forward to 2020 – 21 and the world looked a little different. We were growing larger tribes at home and needed to scratch that creative itch and push forward.
Fwltur was exploring Blockchain tech, and had been around since the early ICOs on Eth. He got in touch again and we started playing with the concepts of how we bring the Threefold Bold ethos and mission to NFTs and grow an impactful community centred on high quality art and exploration. We brought on Rogue Tactics during this phase and the triad was fortified. Three creative outpourings working in collective harmony under the banner of the fold. It continues to be an interesting ride!
- Can you briefly talk about each member of the crew?
Fwltur – He’s the enigma, wrapped in a haiku. The ferryman of the astral canals. On a mission to wake the conscious agents of 090 and beyond. He brings lots of the artistic visionary of our collections to life. Talented illustrator, artist and is currently building a tattoo empire in the dirt of the legacy high street.
Rogue Tactics – Sound, it’s the universal language. lauded as one of our first HUMAN senses. Rogue has provided unknown depth to our creative explorations. He is the audio engineer and sound designer for everything you hear from The Fold and beyond. A master in the making of his craft. Sound scavenger like no other.
Taste32 – Any system needs a healthy dose of chaos and noise to avoid overfitting. taste32 brings that in abundance. Another visual jouster who likes to sling his digital inks in exploration of the collective consciousness.
- What is the core message Three Fold Bold is trying to convey?
Seeking boundaries. Finding none. Falling forward in the now.
We want to support and facilitate a movement towards a real artists’ economy and the rise of ethical, meritocratic systems. The popcorn’s ready for the paradigm shift.
- What is WFO and how does it fit into the project?
WFO is the Intergalactic Radio Show, hosted by none other than Caustic Tergo.
Broadcasting bi-weekly from the Galacticast. This radio show brings together the myriad sounds and frequencies from across the fold and keeps tabs on the comings and goings along the threads.
- Rogue, you recently the 32 Bars album, can you talk a little bit about how it was produced?
32 Bars is a Hip-Hop concept EP, pushing the abilities of songwriting without any boundaries such as Chorus’s/Hooks/Intervals. Just pick a topic and keep firing until the beat ends. I gave myself a month to write 24 Instrumentals, which got drilled down to 5 tracks (As listed on this EP). Once the tracks were then polished up and ready to go, I began writing the lyrics during train journeys back and for Cardiff to Bristol. 32 Bars was ready to go! haha
With my demo’s ready, I then took the tracks to my good friend’s studio. (Andrew Sanders – Kings Road Studios) Over 3 days, we recorded the vocals and mixed the tracks down ready for Mastering. This was completed by another good friend (Charlie Francis – Synergy Mastering). Once the sound side of things was finally completed, it was then onto the artwork which was created by Druid Member Taste32. I then uploaded to TuneCore Distribution to finish the release. This release is one of many more to come in the series (32 Bars).
- Why was 32 Bars released on every streaming platform but not as a token in the land of Web3?
With music not being in the forefront of the NFT Scene until recently, (Still doesn’t feel like its where it needs to be yet) I felt that it wouldnt have had as many ears on it as It would from releasing it via Mainstream Distribution. Any future Rogue Release’s from here on will all be through Web3 via a little something special in the pipeline from Threefold Bold’s – Spinners Record Store.

- Taste, how can you describe the visual imagery crafted for the project?
Each collection brings its own lens and flavours. Baked in and delivered in that Threefold Bold style that is as subtle as a tambourine sledgehammer.
Our process of bringing together two disparate but complementary visual styles woven with unique soundscapes and audio wizardry means that the results can vary wildly. But the quality is upheld. Always. Without compromise.
- What does the future hold for Three Fold Bold?
As we say to those who brave the white room door. This, is a one way deal.
Expect more immersion, more explorations of morality, consciousness and a big two fingers up at the decaying corpse of legacy. Readying the life rafts for those who seek for more. Be Bold Nomads!
